Autodesk provides students in high school or college/university with a renewable free one-year full license to use their suite of software. This is a very cost-effective opportunity for your to learn creative industry software.
Starting or updating your Autodesk account & license
- Click “get started” on this page: https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview?sorting=featured&filters=individual (Links to an external site.)
- Log in with, or create, an Autodesk account.
- After logging in, return to the link above and click Get Started again.
- You are then prompted to complete information about your registration. You should be accurate here.
- You are asked to upload a clear photo of your student ID as evidence of your student status. Make sure your name and other information you enter matches your student card. Use your school e-mail address and accurate information.

- After requesting educational access and submitting evidence that you are a student, you’ll need to wait for confirmation for Autodesk. Typically this happens in less than 12 hours.
- From the same link as above, again pressing “Get Started”, after you have a confirmed education license, select “Get Product” to download the software you need. Feel free to install and explore other programs if you wish.
